Another Chicago Bears free agent is staying put for the 2025 season, Brendan Sugrue of Bears Wire reports.
On Tuesday, the Bears announced they have re-signed offensive lineman Doug Kramer to a one-year deal. Kramer is set to return for his fourth season with the Bears as a backup offensive lineman.
Kramer was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Illinois. Growing up in suburban Hinsdale, he was able to stay close to home as a reserve lineman but didn't see any action until his second season due to injuries. In 2024, Kramer saw extensive playing time, appearing in 16 games as an extra offensive lineman and pseudo fullback.
