The Patriots announced Wednesday that they have signed linebacker Jack Gibbens, who previously played for Mike Vrabel in Tennessee, Conor Ryan of the Boston Globe reports. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Wednesday afternoon that Gibbens’ deal with New England is for one year.
Gibbens played the last three seasons with the Titans, recording 167 tackles over 29 career games.
The 26-year-old linebacker was in the midst of a breakout year with Tennessee in 2024, starting five of 10 games before suffering a season-ending ankle injury against the Vikings on Nov. 17.
He was playing some of his best football right before that ankle injury — recording 29 total tackles in his previous two games, including 14 alone in Tennessee’s overtime win over the Patriots in Week 8.
