The 2025 NFL Draft is not viewed as being loaded with franchise-altering talent, but there are reportedly multiple teams that want to move up the board for one specific player according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

Russini says that the majority of teams that have interest in trading up want to draft Travis Hunter.  The Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and New England Patriots have the Nos. 2, 3, and 4 picks, respectively, in the first round on Thursday night. There have been reports that all of those teams have received calls from rivals who have interest in moving up the board.

Hunter was a two-way star at Colorado and won the Heisman Trophy last season. He had 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. Hunter also had 35 total tackles, 4 interceptions and a forced fumble defensively.  While has been adamant about wanting to remain a two-way player in the NFL, most teams will want him to focus on one position.

The most likely scenario remains that the Browns will draft Hunter, and they have said they view him as a wide receiver. But if they feel they can improve their roster by adding additional picks via a team that is more desperate to land the former Colorado star, a trade might make sense.
