Patrick Mahomes has confidence that the Kansas City Chiefs' passing offense will be one of the most elite in the 2025 campaign, Sarah Wallace of theScore reports.

"Everything looks great right now getting the guys back and healthy," Mahomes told reporters including ESPN's Adam Teicher. "I think the offense has a chance to be really, really good. The core group will be back in its entirety, so the goal is to try to build on it and get even better and try to get back to some of the explosive passing plays that we've done in years past."

The receiving core - composed primarily of Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Hollywood Brown - weren't able to make as large of an impact in 2024 because of injuries to Brown and Rice. The latter was placed on injured reserve in October after playing four games and underwent LCL and hamstring surgery.

Mahomes added that Rice looked "really good" in voluntary practice and was running routes and catching the ball with the team.

"I know it was unfortunate how he got hurt last year, but it was so early in the season that he's going to get pretty much a complete offseason, which I think will be big going into this season," the passer said.
