The Miami Dolphins selected Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant with the No. 13 overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft, Adam Stites of Dolphins Wire reports.
Grant is a massive 6'4, 331-pound nose tackle who earned Third Team All-American and Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2024. He finished his final season with the Wolverines with 6.5 tackles for loss and three sacks, but did his best work as a run stuffer -- earning an 87.5 grade against the run from Pro Football Focus.
The Dolphins didn't have much of a choice but to address the defensive line early in the draft after losing starter Calais Campbell and backup Da'Shawn Hand in free agency. Following the departure of that duo, the team essentially had only Zach Sieler and Benito Jones on the roster. With few options left on the veteran free agent market, Miami needed to find a rookie defensive lineman capable of starting immediately in the NFL.
