The New York Giants scored big with their first-round selection in the 2025 NFL draft, landing Abdul Carter with the third overall pick, but general manager Joe Schoen wasn't done for the night, John Fennelly of Giants Wire reports
Fulfilling his mandate to find the team's next franchise quarterback, Schoen sent the team's second-round pick (No. 34 overall), third-round pick (No. 99 overall), and a 2026 third-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for the No. 25 overall selection to snare Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Dart has been on the Giants' radar for some time. It was reported earlier this week that head coach Brian Daboll was high on Dart and had done "extensive work" on him in the pre-draft process.
Dart has also met with another former Giants quarterback from Ole Miss, Eli Manning, throughout his college career, describing Manning as a mentor and a role model.
