The Eagles saw a player they liked and gave up pick 164 (5th round) to move up one spot in a trade with the Chiefs to land Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell with pick No. 31, Glenn Erby of Eagles Wire reports.
The New Jersey native slipped in the draft after suffering an injury, but lands with the defending Super Bowl champions, and legendary defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio.
Campbell was named to a list of players who could make an immediate impact for Philadelphia at linebacker. The 6'3", 235-pounder has sideline-to-sideline speed and impressive coverage skills. He also flourished as a quality pass rusher, registering five sacks in 2024.
