The Green Bay Packers are eAvaluating all options with cornerback Jaire Alexander, including retaining or releasing him, Andrew Dixon of thescore reports.  This according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky who cites a source.

Alexander was reportedly placed on the trade block earlier in April and wasn't expected to play for the Packers in 2025. He has two years remaining on the four-year, $84-million extension he signed in 2022.

The two-time Pro Bowler appeared in just seven games during the 2024 season and finished the year on injured reserve due to a PCL injury that required surgery. The 5-foot-10, 196-pounder tallied seven pass deflections and a pair of interceptions, including a pick-6, in his limited action.

Green Bay didn't address the cornerback position with a premium pick in the 2025 draft despite Alexander's potential departure from the secondary. The only defensive back the Packers added was former Tulane corner Micah Robinson, who was selected in the seventh round.

Quarterback Jordan Love endorsed Alexander's return shortly after he was placed on the block. The signal-caller identified the 28-year-old as "a guy we need to have around."
