Rams head coach Sean McVay said “those conversations are ongoing” when asked about the possibility of trading for Jalen Ramsey according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

The Rams trading for Ramsey is far from a lock, but McVay said during a conversation on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio that the Rams are “never going to shy away from opportunities to increase the competitiveness” of their roster, while also saying “there’s not too much of an update” on the situation as a whole.

The Rams first traded for Ramsey in October of 2019, and then traded him to the Dolphins during the 2023 offseason. The 30-year-old corner will be moving from the Dolphins at some point this offseason, with May or June looking like the most likely months for a trade or release. Ramsey has appeared in 27 of a possible 34 regular season games for the Dolphins, totaling 82 tackles five interceptions and 16 pass breakups. He still has plenty to offer any defense, and could immediately elevate a defense that appears to be on the upswing after surpassing expectations last season.
