The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move on Monday as they moved into Phase 2 of the offseason program. They announced the addition of veteran tight end Josiah Deguara, signing him to a one-year deal, Jess Root of Cards Wire reports.
Deguara was a third-round pick in 2020 by the Green Bay Packers after playing collegiately for Cincinnati.
He played four seasons for Green Bay and then last season for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He is 6-foot-2 and listed at 238 pounds on the roster, making him the smallest tight end on the roster.
He has played 65 games in five seasons, including 63 in the last four. He has 50 career receptions for 450 yards and two touchdowns, with a career-high of 25 receptions for 245 yards and both career scores coming in 2021 for the Packers.
