On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers moved on from wide receiver George Pickens by trading him to the Dallas Cowboys. This left the Steelers with a huge vacancy at wide receiver. Pittsburgh is also still in a holding pattern at quarterback as Aaron Rodgers remains undecided about his future.

But a recent rumor from Pittsburgh radio host Andrew FIllipponi, they might be able to help with both in just one trade, Curt Popejoy of Steelers Wire reports.

Fillipponi is reporting that, according to a source, the Steelers have inquired about Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs availability via trade. Doubs would not only be an excellent replacement for Pickens but also has experience playing one season with Rodgers.

Doubs became expendable by Green Bay this offseason when the team spent high draft picks on wide receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams. Pittsburgh got back a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft that they could use as part of a package to land Dobbs and hopefully convince Rodgers to sign and join the team.
