Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb on George Pickens: We're both WR1, 'ain't no A, B, none of that'

The Dallas Cowboys finally found a running mate for CeeDee Lamb with the acquisition of George Pickens.

The Cowboys cycled through less-than options the past several seasons to no avail, and when Brandin Cooks left in free agency, the kitchen was bare beside Lamb. Enter the talented but mercurial Pickens.

If there was any question about whether the duo could get along on the same field, they answered it, participating in Kyler Murray's charity softball game over the weekend in Scottsdale, Ariz, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.

"We both ones," Lamb said as Pickens concurred via DLLS Cowboys. "It ain't no A, B, none of that. It's one. You look over there, you see one. You look over here, you see another one. So do what you gotta do with that."

The last time Lamb truly split targets with another wide receiver was in his second season, 2021, with Amari Cooper. Since then, no other Cowboys receiver has hit the 660-yard mark or come within 52 catches of Lamb.

Pickens' ability to win on the boundary should give Dallas a pick-your-poison element. Will defenses roll coverages to slow the big play and let Lamb pick them apart, or take their chances with Pickens on the outside?

How well the combo works out will likely be determined by how consistent Pickens becomes after up-and-down play in Pittsburgh. If the pending free agent sees his targets dwindle alongside Lamb, how will he respond?
