Cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting will not play for the Arizona Cardinals in 2025. His season ends before it begins, Jess Root of Cards Wire reports.

Reported first by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport but appearing Thursday on the league transaction report, Murphy-Bunting was played on the non-football injury reserve, which ends his season.

There has not been a report of what injury he suffered. This reserve is for injuries sustained outside of the scope of playing, practicing or training with the team. While he remains under contract, the Cardinals are not obligated to pay his 2025 salary.
