A significant change is coming to the “Monday Night Football” television schedule in 2024, and it is one that will likely be a disappointment to cord-cutters, Steve DelVecchio of Larry Brown Sports reports.

Last season, every “Monday Night Football” game was simulcast on ESPN and ABC, both of which are owned by Walt Disney. The initial plan was for only a handful of games to air on ABC, mainly when there was a “Monday Night Football” double-header. Disney  then decided to change things up because of the impact the Hollywood writers’ strike had on programming.

According to John Ourand of Puck, ESPN/ABC will go back to its usual arrangement for the 2024 season. That means only around half of “Monday Night Football” games will be broadcast on ABC.
