Many of you are wondering about why we are on Twitter. The simple answer is to get more visability and develop some more avenues for you to get our updates. Currently all of our top headline entries are being updated into Twitter by Twitterfeed. The delay on the RSS feeds going into Twitter is usually no more than 30 minutes.

One other thing Twitter offers for those of you with unlmited texting on your cellphone is to get the Redzone updates on your cellphone via text message. Here is how to do it after you have created an account on twitter.com:

Once you are logged in you will need to find us.  Our Twitter name is theredzoneorg.  Go ahead and choose to follow us.  Then go to Settings. Then look for the Devices tab. Enter your cellphone number and put a check in the box that says: It’s okay for Twitter to send txt messages to my phone. Standard rates apply.

You will receive a text message from Twitter and need to reply to start up the service. Once setup you can turn it off at any time in the device tab and turn off updates overnight or during work or school if you wish.
