Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner is facing six charges including attempted murder  stemming from a July 8 arrest in La Verne, California according to a press release from the La Verne Police Department.

Police allege that Browner broke into his ex-girlfriend's home (she had a restraining order against him) and forced her back inside the residence when she tried to escape. He is also been accused of stealing her Rolex watch.  The 33-year-old Browner will be arraigned sometime Tuesday and is facing four felonies and two misdemeanors, including attempted murder, robbery, burglary, false imprisonment and two counts of child endangerment.   First-degree attempted murder carries a maximum sentence of life in prison in California.

Browner's NFL career was finished when the Seahawks released him during final cuts in 2016 and his life has spiraled downward ever since.  This is his third arrest in the past year-he was arrested on cocaine possession charges in May 2017 and then in September 2017 on felony charges of making criminal threats to a woman-but this week's incident is by far the most serious.
