Jets non-tender RFA RB James Robinson

The New York Jets did not tender an offer to restricted free agent running back James Robinson according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

That makes Robinson a free agent available to sign with any team.  We're just two months removed from offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur saying Robinson was a "big part" of the Jets' 2023 plans. Now, it turns out neither LaFleur nor Robinson will be in the team's plans next season, as LaFleur is now with the Rams, and Robinson is set to hit the open market. Robinson will look for a place to rebound from a down 2022 season that saw him get traded to a Jets team that made him a healthy scratch for the final month of the season.

Originally an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State, Robinson exploded onto the scene with a 1000-yard season as a member to the Jaguars in 2020 but injuries and misuse have since derailed his career.  He is still only 24 years old, however, and now more than a year removed from the Achilles injury he suffered at the end of the 2021 season.  He should have little trouble finding his next team and could be a major factor if he can stay healthy and lands with the right organization.
