The Chargers signed quarterback Will Grier from the Patriots’ practice squad and waived former TCU signal-caller Max Duggan on Monday, Wilton Jackson of Sports Illustrated reports.  This according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

If Duggan clears waivers, he will return to the Los Angeles’s practice squad. The movesare the first made by Chargers interim general manager JoJo Wooden, and they come after Easton Stick committed three turnovers in the team’s ugly 63–21 loss to the Raiders on Thursday Night Football at Allegiant Stadium.

Grier, who was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft by the Panthers, has not played in a regular-season game since his rookie campaign. In two games that year, he threw for 228 yards and four interceptions while completing 53.8% of his passes.
