Pending Jets free agent Braxton Berrios said contract discussions have began with the Jets in an interview with Pardon My Take on Wednesday, Joey Chandler of NJ Advance Media reports.

An SNY report said Berrios revealed in his interview that he is “indifferent” about where he ends up in 2022:

“I don’t look at it as, like, ‘Oh, I want to go to this division or this conference,’” Berrios said. “That’s not where my head’s at, at least.”

The Pro Bowl alternate, who missed the final game of the season with a quad injury, led the NFL in kick return yards per game (30.4), with 852 yards on 28 returns. He had 15 punt returns for 201 yards with a long of 28 yards.

As a wide receiver, Berrios became a reliable target for Zach Wilson, especially after a string of injuries and COVID-19 cases impacted the position. He finished second on the team in receptions with 46 catches for 431 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two rushing touchdowns.
