Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been ruled out for Sunday night's Wild Card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers according to the team's official website.

There was some optimism CEH could suit up Sunday after practicing on a limited basis on Wednesday but reality set in when the sophomore back's shoulder injury kept him from practicing Thursday and Friday.  This will be the third consecutive game he has missed.  2021 has been a difficult year for Edwards-Helaire as injuries limited him to only 10 games.  He finished the regular season with 119 carries for 517 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 19 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Darrell Williams has been limited in practice by a toe injury this week, but Reid said he expects Williams will be available Sunday. Derrick Gore and Jerick McKinnon will also be on hand at running back for Kansas City.
