Veteran free agent wide receiver Willie Snead is working out for the San Francisco 49ers Friday according to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network.

Snead entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Ball State in 2014 with the Browns — back with 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was Cleveland’s offensive coordinator.  He has appeared in 95 games with 48 starts since 2015, making 279 career catches for 3,431 yards with 16 touchdowns. He’s also recorded 15 yards on three carries and threw a 50-yard touchdown pass in 2016.  His best years were the three he spent in New Orleans from 2015-2017 but he has struggled to find that same level of success elsewhere.

Snead spent time with the Raiders and Panthers last season. He caught three passes for 32 yards in seven games with Las Vegas before the team released him in late October. He then signed with Carolina’s practice squad, appearing in a pair of games.

Snead has also tried out for the Texans and Cardinals this week.  He turns 30 years old in October.
