The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a huge beat down of the Minnesota Vikings and now they head to their Thanksgiving showdown a little under the weather, Darrelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports reports.
Head coach Mike McCarthy says several players are wearing masks to avoid spreading an illness that has swept through the locker room this week, per team insider Calvin Watkins.
Defensive end Tarell Basham, defensive end Dante Fowler, defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins and cornerback Kelvin Joseph did not participate in Monday’s practice due to illness.
The Cowboys are coming off a dominant 40-3 blowout victory over the previously 8-1 Minnesota Vikings. They are now looking to beat the 7-3 New York Giants for the second time this year, which would have implications for the NFC East standings.
