Tom Brady has made it clear that he is retired.  The Jets have not reached out to him after the Archilles injury to Aaron Rodgers.

Brady's purchase of a minority stake in the Raiders has not been finalized, NFL Network reports per sources. A vote could come as soon as next month's Fall League Meeting, sources say, but there is still plenty to sort out with financing and plenty of information regarding a potential purchase still to be shared.

So it is still possible that Brady could still play in the NFL whether it is for the Jets or someone else.
