Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is making progress with his re-aggravated calf injury according to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk.com.
After he didn’t practice on Thursday, Burrow was throwing during individual drills on Friday according to multiple reporters at the team’s practice. Burrow has an extra day to recover after tweaking his calf during last Sunday’s game against the Ravens because the Bengals are hosting the Rams on Monday night.
If Burrow cannot suit up for MNF, backup Jake Browning-who has thrown exactly one pass in the NFL-will get the start. There are those who think the Bengals should shut Burrow down until the team's bye in Week 7. With the team sitting at 0-2 and desperately in need of a win, however, we would bet that Burrow will be under center when Rams/Bengals kicks off on Monday.
