Joe Flacco is “almost definitely” not going to return to the Browns in 2024 according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic.
Flacco, the Associated Press’ Comeback Player of the Year, compiled 1,616 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight picks in five regular season games with Cleveland. Only four QBs had more passing yardage than Flacco from Week 12-17. Pro Football Focus graded Flacco as the league’s 19th best passer over that stretch.
The Browns will move forward with Deshaun Watson, whose uneven 2023 performance has raised concerns about his long-term viability as Cleveland’s quarterback. Flacco, meanwhile, will likely get a chance to start elsewhere.
