Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and right tackle Penei Sewell agreed to contract extensions with the Lions on Wednesday.  Quarterback Jared Goff should be next up for a new deal.

Although there have been some discussions between the Lions and Goff, Adam Shefter of ESPN reports there is no deal “imminent” for the Lions signal caller, per source.

Goff has played well for Detroit leading them to the NFC Championship game.  

Goff recently said that the trade that sent him to the Lions was the “greatest thing that ever happened to me” and made it clear that he wants to remain in Detroit.
