Reports have surfaced that free-agent quarterback Daniel Jones is weighing his options with several teams interested in signing him for the rest of the season, but it’s unclear if the Detroit Lions will be one of them, Kory Woods of Mlive reports.
While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell was asked whether the team had considered bringing the six-year veteran to Detroit.
“We haven’t really talked about that,” Campbell said. “I mean, the name has come up, but it’s not like we sat down and talked about that, so I don’t want to give you a yes or a no.”
On Nov. 22, the New York Giants released Jones after six years with the franchise. It was a request of Jones that was granted by team president and owner John Mara.
