Zay Flowers is coming off the first 1,000-yard campaign of his career, but the Baltimore Ravens would like to see those stats skyrocket, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Flowers generated 1,059 yards on 74 catches with four touchdowns before missing the postseason due to a knee injury. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken wants to see the shifty wideout touch the pigskin even more in 2025.
"We've just got to get him the ball more," Monken said Tuesday. "I mean, that's really it. The problem is we have a lot of those guys. He's an unbelievable football player. He's not only an outside receiver that has elite route-running skills, but he's unbelievable with the ball in his hands. So you have, like, a guy that fits two positions, really plays two spots.
"You can use him in a variety of roles to get him the ball, which allows your volume to go up. He's a volume-catch guy. You can use him in novelty screens, get him the ball down the field, so I expect him to take another leap in terms of his consistency."
On a run-first club, the question is, how many more targets could Flowers see than the 116 last year? Flowers finished 23rd in the NFL in targets in 2024, directly behind the likes of Terry McLaurin (117) and Calvin Ridley (120). The Ravens also added DeAndre Hopkins this offseason to go along with pass-catchers Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely.
As for the knee injury, which kept Flowers out of the Ravens two postseason games, the wideout said he's ready to roll.
"My knee is great," he said. "I feel 100%. I feel like I'm ready to go, feel like I'm ready for the season. No limits. I'm good."
