The details surrounding Marshawn Kneeland’s death have left everyone who loves him heartbroken.
The Dallas Cowboys defensive end died at age 24 on Wednesday night.
The defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys scored Dallas’ first touchdown of its “Monday Night Football” loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 3 by scooping up a blocked punt in the end zone. The Michigan native had no clue he would be deceased days later.
In the wake of his tragic passing, resurfaced footage of better times shows Kneeland all smiles while signing autographs for Dallas Cowboys fans.

What Happened With Marshawn Kneeland?

Police responded to a welfare concern at Marshawn Kneeland’s residence on Wednesday. Things would soon take a drastic turn.
Kneeland, who died by suicide on Wednesday at the age of 24, was “armed,” and his girlfriend was concerned he would “end it all,” according to the audio dispatch that TMZ released.
The call also featured a warning from a dispatcher that said, “You all do me a favor, everybody stay with a buddy, don’t go looking alone, this guy is armed,” the person said.
Kneeland is said to have texted his family “goodbye.”
The second-year player was soon found as officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. However, the vehicle did not stop, and an unsuccessful pursuit unfolded.
They later found the vehicle abandoned and Kneeland unresponsive.
The Texas Department of Public Safety would soon announce Marshawn Kneeland died of a “self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
The Frisco police department added that Kneeland fled on foot and was found at 1:31 a.m.
Kneeland’s agent, Jonathan Perzley, said he was “shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night,” in a statement shared by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
