Sauce Gardner’s trade by the New York Jets left one fan in tears.

It’s not easy being a New York Jets fan, especially for one poor kid who had his heart ripped out by the organization for the last time.

Being a fan of a terrible team is bad enough, but passing it down to your kids can cause generational unhappiness. Well, one kid is changing that narrative.

The New York Jets made a blockbuster trade on Tuesday when they sent Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for two first-round picks, according to multiple reports.

The Jets were finally coming off their first win of the season in Week 8 after a wild comeback against the Cincinnati Bengals, but with their 1-7 record and seemingly no future in sight, it was obvious that it was time to rebuild through the draft.

Following his shocking trade from the New York Jets to the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, one father pulled out his phone so he could inform his child that Gardner was gone.

The child began crying and wailing after hearing the news. He then stomped his foot and screamed after finding out that Gardner had gone to Indianapolis.

That led him to denounce his fandom.

‘Now I don’t like the Jets,’ the boy shouted. ‘I like the Colts now!’

In response to a viral video of a child crying, screaming, and stomping his feet, Sauce Gardner joked that the father “should’ve at least waited til tomorrow” before breaking the news.

After Sauce was traded, the Jets would then send superstar defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys acquired Quinnen Williams from the Jets in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round selection.

“I wouldn’t call it a teardown,” Jets general manager Darren Mougey said in response to the trades, via ESPN.
