Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce gave fans at Lincoln Financial Field some unexpected entertainment during their tailgating party before Friday’s clash with the Chicago Bears.

Despite retiring from football after the 2023 season, Jason Kelce continues to make some time to further bond with Eagles fans. He occasionally shows up at tailgating parties at Lincoln Financial Field to fire up the fans before the games.

Still, it’s safe to say Eagles fans got far more than expected in terms of entertainment from the future Hall of Famer on Friday.

Hours before kickoff, Kelce accepted a fan’s offer for a “belly bucking” competition. As you’d expect, the man listed at 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds emerged victorious, much to the delight of the crowd:

What can we say? That was far more entertaining than the absolute dud the Eagles put up on Friday: A humiliating 24-15 home loss that featured seven Eagles penalties, two turnovers and a whole lot of booing from the fed-up fans.

As much as Eagles fans would welcome his return, especially as a morale booster, Kelce has made it clear that he won’t follow Brandon Graham’s footsteps and come out of retirement.

A sixth-round pick of the Eagles in 2011, Jason Kelce went on to become the heart and soul of the NFC East club for 13 years. He led them to two NFC Championship victories and a Super Bowl 52 triumph in the 2017 season.

Kelce wound up being one of the greatest draft steals of all-time, earning seven Pro Bowl nods and six First-team All-Pro selections. Without Kelce, the Eagles wouldn’t have gone from longtime playoff “chokers” to perennial contender.
