Tony Romo might be losing fans with each passing game, and the calls to fire him have intensified over the last few weeks.

The former Cowboys quarterback became a fan favorite after joining CBS in 2017, thanks to his analytical prowess.

However, fans don’t seem to rate him anymore, partly because NFL offensive schemes have changed significantly, and he is no longer able to predict what will happen before the snap, something he did with ease during his earlier years.

He has also been accused of favoring Patrick Mahomes with his commentary, although even he was sick of the quarterback’s antics vs. the Colts on Sunday.

Romo, who’s thought to have influenced Tom Brady’s new penchant for creepy noises, was on the call for the Chiefs-Cowboys game on Thanksgiving and prompted lots of complaints on social media.

Amid claims that he fell off, people are calling for his job. Fans blatantly urged CBS to fire him, though their requests should fall on deaf ears, as there’s no indication that the network will do so simply because that’s what they want.

“I’m thankful that most NFL games do NOT feature Tony Romo on commentary,” Sam Monson of The 33rd Team tweeted.

“Tony Romo’s falloff from best analyst in the game to unabashed cheerleader needs to be studied,” Zack Kelberman of Mile High Huddle shared.

“@NFL_saywhat can you guys fire Tony Romo already. He’s very annoying and bad at commentating,” a fan posted.

“Please fire Tony Romo @NFLonCBS,” another begged.

“I’m so sick of Tony Romo, fire him,” someone else instructed.

“Can we fire f**king Tony Romo already?? He’s absolutely insufferable to listen to,” said another.

Despite the calls for his firing, Romo is scheduled to call the Bills-Raiders game on Sunday. The fixture will likely elicit a similar reaction among fans, who were very vocal when he mistakenly offered condolences to the family of an NFL coach who’s still very much alive earlier in the season.
