Furious football fans think the NFL refs have already decided to “rig” the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions Thanksgiving game after multiple controversial calls that impacted the visitors.

Fans accused the NFL refs of “fixing” the thrilling Indianapolis Colts-Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles-Dallas Cowboys games on Sunday after multiple head-scratching calls. Unfortunately, the suspect officiating has already carried over to the first Thanksgiving Thursday game.

The first controversial call that benefited the Packers occurred in the second quarter, when Jordan Love connected with Dontayvion Wicks for a touchdown on a fourth-down play. Even though the officials had to review the play to confirm the score, it sure looks like Wicks was out of bounds:

And then before Love hit Romeo Doubs for a touchdown on another fourth-down play later in the quarter, the officials missed a blatant false start on the Packers. The reason? They claimed Matt LaFleur called a timeout before the penalty.

If you look at the top of the screen, it’s obvious the false start happened before he signaled for timeout:

Fans accused the NFL refs of rigging the game for the Packers.

“It’s obvious the NFL and/or Vegas (don’t repeat myself?) wants the Packers to win,” a fan wrote.

“EVERY PLAY needs reviewable. Lions got hosed on that. NFL will never get away from the rigged accusations until that fix is made,” said a user.

“@NFL continues to screw the Lions on National TV games. Cost them a chance to win the games against the Eagles. Now just gave the Packers 7 free points,” another commented.

“another fixed lions game what’s new,” said a fan.

“No dog in the fight but, damn, this game feels fixed for the Packers right now!!’” said another.

“Please don’t ever argue that sporting events are not fixed. You can in no way justify that the Packers got a TO before that false start. #nfl join the club,” a fan said.

Per ESPN, the refs penalized the Packers twice for 15 yards in the first half. Clearly, it should have been three. And they shouldn’t have been leading 17-14 at halftime.
