The Pittsburgh Steelers found themselves in a frightening situation when quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down on the field and struggled to get back on his feet.

Bills defensive end Joey Bosa sacked the quarterback on their first play of the third quarter, and Rodgers lost the ball before coming down hard on the ground.

Rodgers had blood on his face as he made his way off the field and appeared to be looking at his right hand. As a result, Mason Rudolph replaced him to start the Steelers’ second offensive possession of the half.

The veteran entered the game with questions about his health, but it was later revealed by Ian Rapoport that he would be made available to play.

One shot from the sidelines showed just how much damage was done to the face of Aaron Rodgers.

Last year, as a member of the New York Jets, Rodgers dealt with a gruesome-looking hand injury during a “Sunday Night Football” game against his current squad.

Rodgers is also playing this game through “at least three fractures” in the wrist on his non-throwing arm, according to NFL Network.
