Sunday against the 49ers marked Shedeur Sanders’ second straight start at quarterback.

His second start was not as good as his first, which had President Trump praising him on social media.

Sanders passed for 149 yards and threw his second career touchdown in his first home regular-season start. Unfortunately, Sanders and the Cleveland Browns suffered a loss in the rookie quarterback’s second career start on Sunday.

Shedeur Sanders exited the Week 13 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers briefly after some injury concern, but would soon return.

Following the loss, Shedeur could be seen walking to the locker room, looking visibly unhappy, a stark contrast to how he left the field last week.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns are “open to giving Sanders an extended look for the rest of the season” as long as his play continues to stay consistent.

NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe added that general manager Andrew Berry has privately praised Sanders’ rapid progress, describing the rookie as a natural “playmaker.”

It has already been reported that Sanders will be the starter for the next game.
