The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 13 loss to the Buffalo Bills has turned into a conversation about the status of Mike Tomlin as head coach.

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to underperform, and it’s their head coach who’s taking the brunt of the criticism as fans began chanting to fire him on Sunday.

James Harrison recently spoke out on the Deebo & Joe podcast (with former Browns and Steelers cornerback Joe Haden), where he unloaded a brutally honest Mike Tomlin take.

Harrison did not think Tomlin was a great coach while he reeled off names of other coaches that he thought highly of. He added that nobody is playing to their full potential, and Tomlin is responsible for hiring all the coaches on his staff.

“You tell me where there’s a good coach on this staff because right now I don’t see anybody playing to their potential,” Harrison said. “Mike Tomlin is in control of hiring coaches,” he added.

Harrison finished his statement with, Okay, something has to be done, bro, and I know the Steelers historically don’t move on from coaches, but I think it’s time that history be made because right now the only history we’re making is being the worst Pittsburgh Steelers team statistically almost in the history of the organization.”

Not helping matters for the Steel City is starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing his teammates under the bus following Sunday’s loss. It seems that Mike Tomlin is losing the locker room.

Mike Tomlin has been facing a torrent of criticism following his most recent defeat against the Bills.

Tomlin’s situation is genuinely bad, as he has now gone 62 straight games with seven or fewer points in the first quarter. That is not winning football.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ longstanding Head Coach can’t hide behind his record any longer. Not having a losing season ever doesn’t mean much these days. The team hasn’t won a playoff game in a decade.

If the Steelers go down to the Ravens next week, you can fully expect the calls to fire Mike Tomlin to get louder.
