The Steelers lost at home to the Bills on Sunday, 26-7, to fall to 6-6 on the season, and Mike Tomlin felt the brunt of the frustration from the fan base inside Acrisure Stadium.

Pittsburgh mustered just 166 yards as the defense allowed 249 yards on the ground, the most ever for a road team at Acrisure Stadium.

Fans in the Steel City made their voices heard during the game, calling for a coaching change and chanting, “Fire Tomlin.”

Pittsburgh has consistently maintained a winning record with Tomlin, as he has yet to post a losing record in his career with the team. This might be the year that changes, as the team has dropped five of its last seven, and starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is increasingly showing why he plans to retire after this season.

Pittsburgh hasn’t won a playoff game since 2016, and the quarterback position has become a revolving door since Ben Roethlisberger retired after the 2021 season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers got off to a strong start on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, but in typical fashion, the team fell off a cliff and got blown out. Pittsburgh was outscored 23–0 in the second half, and the fans are calling for Tomlin’s resignation.

Frustrated Steelers fans didn’t hold back, breaking into a “Fire Tomlin” chant aimed at head coach Mike Tomlin, who has led the organization since 2007/

Tomlin addressed the chants after the game with a clear message for fans, echoing their frustration.

“Man, I share their frustrations tonight,” Tomlin said postgame. “We didn’t do enough. That’s just the reality of it.”

“We didn’t do a lot well tonight, obviously. We didn’t possess the ball or maintain ball security on offense,” Tomlin further said via the Pittsburgh Steelers YouTube channel.

Not helping matters is Aaron Rodgers throwing his own teammate under the bus following the loss.

What was once looking like a year where they would coast to an easy division win has now turned into a dogfight down the stretch.

Ahead of their Week 14 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens, the Steelers are tied with Baltimore for first place at 6-6. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals sit just two games back at 4-8, with a healthy Joe Burrow looking to cause havoc in the division.
