Shedeur Sanders’ second career start for the Cleveland Browns was not on par with his first career start when he shocked a lot of people with his play against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Facing the 49ers’ defense, as well as freezing weather conditions, was also not helpful for him to succeed.

Not helping matters was his own wideout, Jerry Jeudy, yelling at him on the sidelines.

There was one play in the game that had fans talking.

Shedeur Sanders completed 16-of-25 passes for 140 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. He was also sacked three times.

At one point in the game, veteran offensive tackle Cam Robinson was flagged for a facemask penalty.

This will now result in him facing punishment from the league.

A first-offense NFL facemask penalty fine is $11,593, with a second offense resulting in a $17,389 fine.

His penalty led to the Browns having to punt.

After making his second consecutive start in Week 13 against the 49ers, QB Shedeur Sanders will start Week 14 against the Titans.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed and wasted little time making that announcement.

“Browns HC Kevin Stefanski told reporters that Shedeur Sanders will start next Sunday vs. the Titans,” Adam Schefter reported on Sunday.

Dating back to the offseason, the 2025 Cleveland Browns knew their team was a work in progress, which is why they took 025 third-round rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel and then later on in the draft, Shedeur Sanders.

Fast forward a few months later, and the team is no closer to finding their future quarterback.

Shedeur is being given the opportunity to take the reins before the team has to make decisions in the offseason.
