2025 NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Who’s Rising, Who’s Falling After a Chaotic Weekend?
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season delivered one of the most chaotic and season-defining weekends yet. Multiple playoff contenders stumbled, underdogs pulled off statement wins, and several star players reshaped their team’s trajectory with truly dominant performances. With only a few weeks left in the regular season, every game now carries postseason implications and the standings are shifting fast.
The Patriots and Bears are suddenly surging after impressive back-to-back wins, while teams like the Rams and Eagles appear to be trending in the wrong direction. Add in a string of key injuries, quarterback shake-ups, and defensive collapses, and the Week 14 power rankings landscape looks dramatically different from just seven days ago.
Using recent performance, advanced metrics, injury impact, and strength-of-schedule outlooks, here’s where all 32 teams stand heading into Week 14 and which franchises are rising, falling, or clinging to postseason hopes.
Who are the top teams in the NFL power rankings week 14 edition?
32. Tennessee Titans (32)

As expected, football’s worst team proved to be no match for the surging Jacksonville Jaguars, who made easy work of the NFL’s only one-win team and season-long cellar-dweller in the power rankings.
The Titans turned the ball over twice, committed 10 penalties, and mustered just 188 yards of offense. In some ways, it’s actually a bit miraculous that they only lost 25-3 with those kinds of numbers.
If there’s any silver lining, they could actually win another game this Sunday with the Cleveland Browns next on the schedule.
31. Las Vegas Raiders (31)

Other than Brock Bowers and Maxx Crosby, the Raiders looked bored and utterly uninterested in a humiliating 31-14 loss to the Chargers. And that falls on the head coach.
It’s hard to find a reason for the Raiders to keep Pete Carroll beyond this year. This long-struggling football team has not looked this bad since Derek Carr’s 2014 rookie year. Also, maybe Geno Smith shouldn’t play anymore this year? Taking sacks and throwing careless interceptions is supposed to be a bad thing, right?
30. New York Giants (30)

The Giants hardly put up a fight in their ugly Monday night loss to the Patriots. Mike Kafka’s ridiculously conservative play-calling doesn’t help his case to remain head coach beyond this year. Punting on 4th-and-1 in a three-score game. Good job, coach.
Jaxson Dart’s return brought some flashes on offense, but the dazzling rookie can’t do it on his own. If there’s any consolation, we suppose they stay in contention for the No. 1 pick?
29. New Orleans Saints (28)

The Saints nearly completed a stunning comeback win in South Beach, recovering a late onside kick to give Tyler Shough one last shot to win. But it wasn’t to be, with the game-winning drive stalling at the Miami 36.
Then again, are Saints fans actually upset about their NFL team falling to 2-10 on the year and at the bottom half of the power rankings? That much closer to securing a top-three pick in a year where many teams will be eyeing a quarterback early!
28. Cleveland Browns (27)

Shedeur Sanders’ first start at home won’t go down as memorable, that’s for sure. It even garnered unwarranted criticism from Dillon Gabriel’s fiancée. He had little chance behind the vaunted 49ers’ front seven, but Cleveland’s stingy defense also didn’t get much going in an uneventful 26-8 home loss.
Kevin Stefanski said Sanders will get the nod again in Week 14 against the one-win Titans. That’s good for his fanbase. But does it really matter? None of Cleveland’s QBs have done much of anything with this weak supporting cast.
27. Washington Commanders (26)

Well, you gotta credit Dan Quinn’s Commanders for a tremendous effort in their Sunday night clash with the Broncos. But losing 27-6 in OT after a failed two-point conversion still stings. Another reminder that nothing’s gone right this year for this NFL squad and their standing in the power rankings.
The Commanders have now lost seven in a row and clinched a losing season, a significant drop after last year’s thrilling run to the NFC Championship Game. At least they’re ready to embrace the “spoiler” role with two games against the Eagles over the final three weeks.
26. Arizona Cardinals (24)

Jacoby Brissett had 301 passing yards and two touchdowns against the heavily-favored Bucs, but Arizona fell just short of the stunning comeback in a 20-17 loss. No, these guys aren’t celebrating L’s.
But it has to be reassuring to see this offense vastly improve without Kyler Murray. There’s your clear-cut indicator that Arizona needs to move on from him after the season!
25. New York Jets (29)

Who’da thought that in the year 2025, Kirk Cousins and Tyrod Taylor would combine for one of the more exciting QB duels of the season? What a world.
But a 13-point fourth quarter willed the Jets to victory, with veteran kicker Nick Folk booting the game-winning 56-yarder. In a season where almost nothing has gone right for Aaron Glenn’s squad, you take a win as you can get ‘em.
And seeing how much better they’ve played since the trade deadline fire sale, maybe this Glenn guy really is the right man for the job?
24. Atlanta Falcons (23)

If the Falcons had the slimmest of hopes of making a late run at the NFC South crown, they were dashed in an inexcusable road loss to the Jets.
Giving up 13 points to a Jets team with a backup QB behind center? Man. And Kirk Cousins actually had a solid game. Bijan Robinson had 193 yards of offense, too.
The 4-8 Falcons are headed for an eighth straight non-playoff season. We’re finding it hard to believe that GM Terry Fontenot and head coach Raheem Morris will last beyond this season, truth be told.
23. Minnesota Vikings (22)

Yikes! If only the Vikings didn’t throw Max “freaking” Brosmer out there to get schooled by the ferocious Seattle defense. But alas, Kevin O’Connell thought he could win with this guy instead of bringing in another veteran with JJ McCarthy sidelined.
Somehow, Minnesota hit a new low with a humiliating 26-0 loss to Seattle. Five turnovers, including four picks from Brosmer, will do that to ya. As a result, they slid a spot further down in the weekly NFL power rankings.
Everyone knows that the Vikings miss Sam Darnold, but how can the o-line, rushing game, and defense be this bad after being major strengths a year ago? Man, this nightmare season can’t end soon enough for Minny fans.
22. Cincinnati Bengals (25)

Just when you thought the 2025 Bengals were done…
Joe Burrow returns after an 11-week absence, looks like his old self, and leads the Bengals to a 32-14 blowout win on the road over Baltimore. OH, and with the Steelers and Ravens also losing, Cincy still has a shot at the AFC North!
Yes. Even at 4-8. It’s still a long shot, and they have a tough game in Buffalo on Sunday. But if the Bengals can pull off another upset, things suddenly get a bit more interesting in Cincy.
21. Miami Dolphins (20)

Despite their efforts to squander that game, the Dolphins narrowly escaped Hard Rock Stadium with a nail-biting 21-17 home win over the Saints. Hey, that’s three in a row now for Mike McDaniel’s squad!
The 5-7 Dolphins are showing some fight after a horrific 1-6 start, and they’re clearly ready to play spoiler in the playoff race. Everyone wanted McDaniel gone a few weeks ago, but Miami’s improved play since the trade deadline could buy him another year here. And deservedly so!
20. Kansas City Chiefs (15)

Just when you think KC might have figured it out, they fall to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day and drop to 6-6 on the season. Careless penalties and uncharacteristic breakdowns in coverage by the defense have brought them to this point. The end result? Five spots down from last week’s NFL power rankings.
Even if the Chiefs were to win out and finish 11-6? They need a lot of help, sitting two games behind the three wild-card holders. One more loss dooms the Chiefs and keeps them out of the playoffs, “gasp” for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era.
It’s really now or never in KC.
19. Pittsburgh Steelers (17)

Let’s see here. The Steelers were crushed 26-7 by the Bills at their own turf. Booing fans started the “fire Tomlin” chants. Aaron Rodgers is blaming his receivers for the issues on offense. And the Steelers have now lost five of their last seven. Other than that, we suppose it’s not too bad?
The 6-6 Steelers are suddenly on the ropes now. It feels like the season will end if they fall to the Ravens this Sunday. Is Rodgers’ career going to end on a sour note like this? Or can he regain some of that old magic for these last five weeks? Stay tuned.
18. Baltimore Ravens (14)

No team had a more dejecting loss this week than the Ravens. Beat Cincy at home, and you’re in the driver’s seat for the AFC North. Instead, Lamar Jackson had another stunningly horrible day and got nothing going in a 32-14 blowout loss to the Bengals.
Remember, the Ravens still have two meetings with Pittsburgh. And games against the Packers and Patriots. If they can just go 4-1, that should be enough to win the division crown. Then again, the 2025 Ravens hate making it easy on themselves.
17. Dallas Cowboys (19)

Break up…the Cowboys?!
After a thrilling Thanksgiving Day win over KC, Jerry Jones’ Cowboys are officially to be taken seriously now. Three straight victories have them at 6-5-1 with a manageable schedule to close out the season.
Like Kansas City, winning out alone might not be enough to help the Cowboys get in. But can they beat the Lions on Thursday night? The path to an 11-5-1 finish is right there, and just maybe some outside help would help them sneak in.
16. Carolina Panthers (20)

If you thought the Panthers were frauds, boy, do we have news for you! How about Bryce Young outdueling MVP front-runner Matt Stafford and leading Carolina to a thrilling 31-28 win over the NFC’s top dogs? Time to take ‘em seriously, folks. A huge jump this week in the NFL power rankings is their reward.
The pesky Panthers now head into a bye week, with the Saints next on the schedule in Week 15. They face Tampa twice in the final three weeks. Sweep those games, and Carolina “probably” has the division.
15. Detroit Lions (10)

Okay, now it’s panic time in Motor City.
Four days after barely beating a hapless Giants team at home, the Lions looked like turkeys in a 31-24 home loss to the Packers. And believe us, it wasn’t as close as the final score indicated.
Dan Campbell is getting way too aggressive with his fourth-down play-calling, and it’s backfiring far more often than not. The defense isn’t making any timely stops, and now they sit at 7-5 and two wins behind the 49ers for the NFC’s final wild-card spot.
With the red-hot Cowboys and powerhouse Rams next on the schedule, the season could slip away quickly if the Lions don’t rediscover their “a-game” quickly.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (18)

It was closer than they would have liked, but Todd Bowles’ banged-up Bucs did just enough to leave Raymond James Stadium with a 20-17 home win against Arizona. That victory was especially needed with the Panthers also winning on Sunday.
The return of Bucky Irving after a weird absence sparked the offense in Week 13. Tampa will need more of that in their Weeks 16 and 18 meetings against Carolina, a pair of games that’ll certainly determine the NFC South champion.
13. Houston Texans (16)

DeMeco Ryans for Coach of the Year if the Texans make the playoffs, anyone?!
Houston came into Indy and stunned the Colts 20-16, extending Houston’s win streak to four. How ‘bout wins over the Jags, Colts, and Bills in that period? Yeah, nobody wants to face these guys in the playoffs.
If the Texans beat the Chiefs on Sunday? Instant climb in the weekly power rankings in the NFL. One of the Colts or Jags will lose on Sunday, so the AFC South is very much there for the taking.
12. Philadelphia Eagles (9)

Has there been a more miserable defending Super Bowl champion that was four games OR MORE above .500 in December? I didn’t think so.
Back-to-back losses have soured the mood in Philly, and rightfully so. Five days after blowing a 21-point lead in Dallas, they looked like an amateur team in a 24-15 Black Friday loss at home to the Bears.
As the offense continues to struggle and boos keep raining down across Philly, the pesky Cowboys are breathing down their necks and very much in the race for the NFC East. Are we looking at another late-season collapse by the Eagles? Or will they rediscover their championship DNA in December? To be determined!
11. Los Angeles Chargers (13)

The Chargers made easy work of the Raiders, as expected, to complete the season sweep and move to 8-4 on the year. The Chiefs’ loss puts them a step closer to locking down a second straight playoff appearance.
But the remaining schedule is absolutely brutal: The Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys, Texans, and Broncos. No gimmes there. This would really be something if Jim Harbaugh’s injury-ravaged squad survived that gauntlet and reached the postseason.
10. Buffalo Bills (11)

Just when everyone thought the sky was falling, the Bills came into Pittsburgh and made easy work of the equally desperate Steelers in a statement 26-7 win. Who says the 2025 Bills can’t play defense again?
A Chiefs loss to Dallas provided extra breathing room for Buffalo, which is this-close to clinching another playoff berth. Even if they have to settle for a wild-card spot, the Bills would be just as dangerous as any AFC playoff team.
9. Indianapolis Colts (4)

Well, those good vibes that filled up Indy for the first 11 weeks of 2025 are slowly but surely turning into anxiety-inducing vibes instead.
A week after coughing up a two-score fourth-quarter lead to the Chiefs in an OT loss, the Colts fell 20-16 to the Texans in a defensive slugfest that was marred by plenty of head-scratching officiating miscues.
Then again, 16 points is almost never enough to beat a quality opponent in the NFL, so the Colts oughta blame themselves for sinking nearly outside the power rankings.
Indy faces the division-leading Jaguars next, followed by games with Seattle, San Francisco, the Jags again, and Houston. They can’t let up now.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars (12)

Just as we all expected, the Jags are leading the AFC South in December. In a year where Brian Thomas Jr. has been invisible, and Travis Hunter suffered a season-ending injury, no less.
The Jags laid a beating on the Titans, a 25-3 road victory to extend the win streak to three. With two meetings left against the Colts — including one this Sunday — there’s still a lot to be sorted, folks.
7. Chicago Bears (8)

About all that talk that the Bears hadn’t been anyone? Ahem, how about a thumping of the Eagles in their own stadium? A win so adrenaline-fueling that it got Ben Johnson to take his shirt off and secure free hot dogs for Bears fans in Windy City!
Less than three months after a 0-2 start, the Bears enter December as the NFC’s top team. Please stop doubting these guys if they manage to beat the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
6. San Francisco 49ers (7)

The destruction of the Cleveland Browns pushed the 49ers to 9-4 and just half a game out of first in the NFC West. A three-game winning streak? Is Brock Purdy finally healthy? Beautiful way to head into the bye week.
Such good vibes in San Fran, with the one-win Titans next on their schedule in Week 15.
5. Green Bay Packers (5)

Google the definition of a “statement” in the NFL dictionary, and you should see a photo of the Packers’ Thanksgiving Day win over the Lions to complete the season series sweep.
The Packers are clearly heads-and-shoulders above the Lions this year, but the pesky little brother Bears aren’t going away, either. Beat Chicago on Sunday, though, and Green Bay will reassert itself as the big bullies in the NFC North.
4. Seattle Seahawks (5)

Sam Darnold got the last laugh on his old squad in the Seahawks’ 26-0 dismantling of the Vikings on Sunday. With the Rams also losing on Sunday, it was a near-perfect week for Mike Macdonald’s squad.
The 9-3 Seahawks have clinched a fourth straight winning season and should improve to 10-3 with the unraveling Falcons next on the schedule. A top five in the NFL weekly power rankings at this stage of the season. Who would’ve thought?
3. Los Angeles Rams (1)

A trio of Matt Stafford turnovers doomed the Rams in a heartbreaking 31-28 road loss to the Panthers. The winning streak is over, and now the Bears sit alone atop the NFC thanks to the tiebreaker.
Would we panic if we were Rams fans? Nah. They were due for a loss after blowing away the competition during their six-game winning streak. They still control their own fate for the NFC West, and we’re skeptical the Bears will finish above them with a tougher schedule to close out the year.
2. Denver Broncos (3)

The Broncos love winning heart-racing one-score games, so we suppose it wasn’t shocking that they barely beat the Jayden Daniels-less Commanders in overtime.
But take a win how you can get ‘em. Denver has now clinched consecutive double-digit win seasons for the first time in a decade. They keep pace with the Patriots for the AFC’s top seed and have a much more manageable opponent in the Raiders on Sunday.
1. New England Patriots (2)

Drake Maye’s practically flawless performance in Monday night’s destruction of the Giants, coupled with Matt Stafford’s sloppy outing in Carolina, puts the Patriots QB back as the man to beat in the MVP race.
Oh, and the Patriots retain the AFC’s top seed heading into the bye week…just as we all predicted at the start of the year.
The late-season bye comes at a good time for Mike Vrabel’s squad, with the Bills and Ravens next on the schedule. Win both of those, and the AFC will most certainly run through Foxborough.
