Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy have come clean on their sideline confrontation from Sunday’s blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Nothing went right for the Browns in their 26-8 defeat at Huntington Bank Field. In his first NFL start at home, Shedeur Sanders finished with 16 completions for 149 yards and a touchdown, with Jerry Jeudy notching just three catches for 26 yards.

During the humiliating loss, CBS Sports cameras showed Jeudy and Sanders having a testy exchange on the sidelines. Finally, veteran offensive lineman Ethan Pocic eventually stepped in to diffuse the situation:

Jeudy and Sanders broke their silence on the altercation when asked about it on Wednesday, per ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi.

“We resolved that,” Sanders said. “We’re not going to speak on that.”

The veteran wide receiver added, “We spoke about it. We’re good. It’s an emotional sport. Things like that happen. It’s football.”

Jerry Jeudy was also asked if he would have handled the matter differently, admitting that it would have been better to “talk to him off camera.”

There was one play in the first quarter where Jeudy appeared to quit on a deep ball from Sanders, one that could have resulted in a touchdown. Some fans accused Jeudy of “sabotaging” his teammate on the play.

Cleveland hosts the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Jeudy had a career year in his first season with the Browns in 2024, catching 90 passes for 1,229 yards and four touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl nod.

But the 2020 first-round pick hasn’t been able to regain that form here in 2025. He has just 35 receptions for 421 yards and one touchdown, averaging a career-low 35.1 receiving yards per game.

Jeudy couldn’t form chemistry with Joe Flacco, who was eventually traded to the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals. Nothing materialized with Dillon Gabriel before the latter landed in concussion protocol, either.

The Jeudy-Sanders connection has yet to come together, but we’lll see if it can finally get going against the Titans on Sunday.
