Cameras Caught Dak Prescott Yelling At George Pickens After His Costly Mistake In Cowboys’ Loss To Lions On ‘TNF’ [VIDEO]

When the Dallas Cowboys needed George Pickens the most, he let them down.
The Cowboys entered Thursday night’s clash against the Detroit Lions in a must-win situation. When star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb exited the game with a concussion in the third quarter, it was time for George Pickens to step up and save the day.
But Pickens wasn’t up for the challenge, to say the least. Throughout the second half, there were numerous instances of him barely putting in an effort on some of his routes:

It appeared that Dak Prescott sensed a lack of effort from Pickens. Minutes before the clip above, cameras caught Prescott yelling at his star wideout for seemingly quitting on this route:
Tonight showed why George Pickens is so complicated. Some games he’s elite making insane contested catches and creating yards after catch.
Others are like tonight where he half-asses routes, doesn’t want to be out there for some reason, and doesn’t care.pic.twitter.com/b8roxjYb2p

The Cowboys fell 44-30 in a back-and-forth shootout, dropping them to 6-6-1 on the year. Pickens is in the middle of a career year, but caught just five passes for 37 yards in the loss, per ESPN.
Dallas now has to win out and finish 10-6-1 to have any shot at the postseason. They’ll also need the Philadelphia Eagles to squander the division by dropping at least three of their final five games. Both scenarios are much easier said than done, of course.
