Charissa Thompson Admits Her Sideline Outfit Was a Big Mistake

December came in cold, and fans really felt it during the Black Friday game between the Eagles and Bears in Philadelphia. Chicago shocked everyone by beating the Eagles and moved to 9-3, taking the top spot in the NFC. The weather and the crowd made the whole scene feel pretty wild, while Charissa Thompson and the NFL on Amazon Prime crew covered the game all day in that weather.
She moved around the stadium as the wind got stronger and the cold got worse. She looked stylish in a blue suit, light blue gloves, and a scarf. After the game, she shared a fun recap on Instagram about the day.
“Black Friday Football ….. was a windy and chilly one !! We had pushups, giveaways , Jason dropped by & Bears keep it rollin . Loved this jacket @harriswharflondon and dress by @anonlychild . Charissa then admitted one problem with her outfit that she didn’t dress warm enough for the freezing weather.
Thompson Breaks Down Her Cold-Weather Slip
Thompson spoke about the moment on the “Calm Down” podcast with Erin Andrews. She told Andrews that she tried to look stylish but ignored the icy conditions on the sideline.
“I am ill equipped for these cold games. I try to be all cute and end up freezing my (expletive) off at these games,” she said.
She also praised Andrews for handling cold games like a pro. “I should take a page out of my girl’s book over here, who is like the Queen of the Cold, and you know how to do it, with a heated vest and all of the stuff. And you’re always prepared,” Thompson said.
Andrews joked that she does not always love her own cold-weather look. “I look like Olaf,” she said, referencing the snowman from Frozen. She also compared herself to Randy, saying, “Or Randy from ‘A Christmas Story.’”
Andrews said Thompson still manages to pull off a polished sideline look even when the temperature drops. “Charissa looks like an F1 wife. Like she looks like a super European model,” she joked.
Thompson laughed about the moment and didn’t make a big deal out of it. She admitted the mistake and said that sometimes fashion doesn’t mix well, as she recently got roasted for her outfit.
Fans will probably see her on the sidelines again soon, just with a better plan for the cold.
