Los Angeles Rams fans are sending their support to head coach Sean McVay on Sunday as he deals with an illness before the team’s Week 14 game against the Arizona Cardinals. McVay didn’t fly with the team, but he still plans to be there.

The Rams come into the day as one of the NFL’s hottest teams, and McVay is fully focused on the Super Bowl, it seems. Matthew Stafford is playing like an MVP, and the team looks strong on offense and defense. Currently, the Rams are in a position to make another Super Bowl run and are the favourites too, but McVay’s health became the main focus just hours before kickoff.

Even though he’s feeling sick, McVay still plans to be on the sideline when the game starts. Fans are hoping he feels well enough to lead the team in this important division matchup. Earlier this season, McVay also revealed he suffered a serious injury in Week 2, one that would have sidelined any player.

Fans filled social media with concern, jokes, and encouragement. Many praised McVay’s toughness and work ethic.

“Sean McVay with an illness is still probably better than most coaches,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “Dude could have a 103° fever and still be drawing up plays on a whiteboard like, I ain’t missing Rams–Cards, brother. Somebody get this man some NyQuil and a game ball.”

Some urged caution. “He’s putting everyone in that stadium at risk. Make sure he’s got all his shots,” a fan commented.

Others focused on the football side of things. “Sick or not, McVay’s still the nightmare every team dreads,” one fan said.

Many also wished him well. “Hope he gets better, quick recovery,” one fan wrote.

The Rams are having a strong season, and McVay’s presence is a big reason why. The Rams and Cardinals will kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, and the game will be broadcast on FOX.
