Angry football fans think the Philadelphia Eagles’ road game against the Los Angeles Chargers was “rigged” after a horrific game-changing mistake by the NFL refs in the fourth quarter.

Facing a 3rd-and-1 situation at their 48-yard line, the Eagles lined up for what appeared to be an incoming “tush push” play. But Jalen Hurts instead pitched the ball outside to Saquon Barkley. The star running back took it to the house for a 52-yard touchdown:

A closer look at the slo-mo video, however, and you’ll see that Jordan Mailata got away with a blatant holding call on the touchdown run. Inexplicably, the NFL refs missed the infraction:

Fans accused the NFL refs of “fixing” the game for the defending Super Bowl champions.

“Of course the Eagles got away with a hold on that Saquon touchdown, NFL rigged this game for sure,” one fan wrote.

“lol gotta live a rigged game for the beloved @Eagles Chargers in control the whole time until the 4th quarter. This is so fixed man @NFL,” said a fan.

“Eagles cheat and win again. Missed the holding. League wants Eagles to go as far as possible. Rigged sport,” a user wrote about the NFL refs.

“Don’t worry the refs bailed you out and gifted Barkley a TD with a blatant hold,” a fan said.

“These rules analysts are awful. No wonder the reffing sucks in the NFL,” another wrote.

Well, it’s not the first time the NFL refs have been accused of “fixing” games for the Eagles this season. Remember, the league actually had to warn the officials to watch for false start penalties against the Eagles that were going uncalled earlier in the year.
