The Kansas City Chiefs fan base hasn’t experienced this type of losing in almost a decade.

They are used to winning the AFC West and getting a top seed in the playoffs. Neither is happening this year.

On Sunday Night Football, things only got worse for a team coming in limping to face the Texans.

One fan in the stands at Arrowhead Stadium is now exposing the fan base for their actions late in the contest.

With 5:26 left on the clock and only trailing by a touchdown, they simply gave up.

Kansas City Chiefs fans could be seen headed for the exit, not thinking the team had any chance to tie things up or win.

The Chiefs are coming off a heartbreaking 31-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

The game drew 57.230 million viewers, making it the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history.

Getting ratings is one thing, but winning games is what the team needs to do from now on.

The Kansas City Chiefs had a 6-6 record and desperately did not want to fall under .500. The Chiefs fell, 20-10, at Arrowhead Stadium.

So what does this mean for the team’s chances of making the postseason?

Before the game against the Texans, according to NFL research, the Chiefs had a 34% chance of making the postseason.

Following the loss, the Chiefs’ chances of making the postseason dropped to just 15%.

The magic that carried the Chiefs for such a long stretch last season has evaporated.

Even if the Chiefs win out, they’d need to catch a break or two to make the playoffs. January could look very different ina month.
