Joe Burrow could’ve easily just sat out the remainder of the 2025 season. Instead, he wanted to come back for his team and the fans. His teammates appreciate him. The fan base, not so much.
Over the weekend, the Baltimore Ravens came into Paycor Stadium. They embarrassed the home team. The Ravens defense kept Burrow and the Bengals off the scoreboard for a critical AFC North victory. As a result, the Bengals will miss the playoffs for the third consecutive season. They have also lost 10 games for the first time since the 2020 season.
Lamar Jackson threw for just 150 yards, but he led his team to a 24-0 beatdown of the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow finished 25-of-39 with 225 passing yards, two interceptions, and zero touchdowns. It was not his best day.
He apparently heard it from the crowd.
Footage Emerges of Fans Heckling Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow made his anticipated return for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. He led them to a win against the Ravens. Many expected him to do so again on Sunday.
Unfortunately, it was a terrible day for him. Burrow had his worst game of the season. He even got called out by his own teammates on the sidelines. Star wideout Ja’Marr Chase may have been frustrated, but he was not happy with the fans.
Chase told heckling fans that they can go home: “If you don’t like it, you can go the f— home.” Now, footage has surfaced of what fans were doing in the stands behind the team.
One fan could be seen holding up a Joe Burrow jersey. He then flings it into the air and onto the field. He also points towards the field just as Burrow completes a pass on the field.

Following the loss, Burrow took full blame, saying he was “the worst QB in the league” on Sunday. The team will look to retool and hope for a better ending in 2026.
