Police officers from the department involved in the pursuit of Marshawn Kneeland before he died have made an NFL-related arrest.
Former NFL linebacker Myles Jack was taken into custody earlier this week following gunshots coming from his home in Frisco, Texas. That is according to the law enforcement officials, who claim to have heard the shots.
Jack, a former star at UCLA, spent eight seasons in the pros.
According to reports, police went to a house upon request for a welfare check at 5:40 AM on Tuesday morning. The officers said they heard gunshots before a man broke a second-story window and crashed to the ground at 7:12 AM.
Said male was later identified as Jack, who was taken to a nearby hospital, per FOX News.
The former Jacksonville Jaguars LB was treated for non-life-threatening injuries he got from the fall.

Jack has since been hit with a third-degree Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm charge. He has also been charged with Discharge of Firearm in Certain Municipalities.
There are no credible reports suggesting that the 30-year-old has been released. According to multiple sources, including ESPN, he is described as still facing charges and under custody following hospitalization.
Myles Jack’s Situation Bears Some Similarities To Marshawn Kneeland’s

The development comes in the wake of Kneeland’s passing. The former Dallas Cowboys defensive end was in his second year in the NFL and reportedly took his own life last month.
Kneeland’s girlfriend had called in a welfare check at his apartment. He was ultimately pursued by police through the very suburb of Frisco and was later found dead. He appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The player, who turned 25 in July, had sent his family a group text telling them goodbye. According to his girlfriend, he had a gun, and she was afraid he would kill himself.
“After losing visual of the vehicle, troopers located it minutes later, crashed on southbound Dallas Parkway near Warren Parkway,” an officer was heard saying in released dispatch audio.
Kneeland is said to have left the vehicle, taking off on foot. He was later found dead.
He received tributes from teams around the league.
