There appears to be a separation that could happen between Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. It’s been a tough year for a team that had Super Bowl aspirations.

A new article from The Baltimore Sun about the quarterback has spread like wildfire. It has certainly made things quite uncomfortable. The Baltimore Sun’s Mike Preston ignited quite the stick of dynamite when he spoke about his behavior. Preston also suggests that Baltimore consider trading Lamar Jackson. He noted that the South Florida native and two-time MVP “would love to play in Miami.

In one passage of the article, a source criticized Jackson for his actions. He stated that he stays up at night playing video games and falls asleep during meetings. Jackson was also told to attend more training events. He tends to only participate in mandatory minicamps.

Andrew Fillipponi of Pittsburgh’s 93.7 The Fan further called out Jackson for his behavior.

“Incredible Baltimore Sun article on Lamar Jackson. Claims he stays up late playing video games. And falls asleep in meetings. He’s 3-5 in the playoffs. With 7 interceptions. And 7 fumbles. He’s never winning a Super Bowl,” Fillipponi wrote in response.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano would then add that the team should either extend him or gauge interest in a potential trade.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh broke his silence this week. It followed a report by insider Mike Preston, who accused Lamar Jackson of sleeping during meetings.

On Wednesday, the Baltimore Sun published a hit piece. It also accused Jackson of playing video games late into the evening and receiving preferential treatment. This bombshell report elicited a response just hours later from Harbaugh.

“I’ll tell you how [I feel], as I’m pretty transparent with all the guys,” Harbaugh began. “I had a great conversation with him this morning about a few things. Football, how he’s feeling, things like that. “So our relationship is A-plus. I love him. Always have, always will. He’s fighting like crazy to get back.”

Harbaugh then directly addressed the report: “So, these reports… I don’t really need anybody speaking for me. So ask me, and I’ll tell you how I feel.”

This is Jackson’s worst-ever season from a statistical standpoint. He has just 2,311 yards in 12 games after having 4,172 in total last season. Lamar Jackson also has just 18 passing touchdowns after completing 41 last season.

The Ravens drafted Jackson in 2018. He has won two MVPs, but is 3-5 in the postseason. The farthest he has gone is to the AFC Championship game.
