Josh Allen had a rough day against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

The reigning NFL MVP underwent X-rays after Sunday’s 13-12 loss to the Eagles. Luckily, a loss is all he and the team have to deal with. Allen received negative results, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Josh began Week 17 as a limited participant at practice due to soreness in his right foot. He practiced with full reps on Friday and ultimately avoided an injury designation entirely for Sunday’s tilt against Philadelphia. Per Alec White of the Bills’ official team website, McDermott said Allen was “day-to-day.”

The star signal-caller’s status at practice will now need to be monitored. They have to prepare for a Week 18 regular-season finale against the Jets.

After a late comeback attempt fell short, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills lost 13-12 to the Eagles. Allen led a struggling offense, throwing for 262 yards. He also had two rushing touchdowns while completing 23-of-35 passes. His missed throw on a potential game-winning two-point conversion sealed the loss.

It was a huge loss. The loss gave the New England Patriots the AFC East title. Philadelphia entered the contest having already clinched the NFC East and was playing for seeding. The Buffalo Bills came in battling for a sixth straight AFC East title and home-field advantage. Now they will have to start the playoffs on the road.

The Bills will close out the regular season at home against the New York Jets. Josh Allen’s squad isn’t playing for the AFC East title, but they are playing for playoff positioning. Now, their postseason fate is about seeding. The Bills can finish as the No. 5, No. 6, or No. 7 seed.
