Lamar Jackson Gets Major Injury Update Ahead Of Ravens’ Must-Win Game vs. Steelers

Will Lamar Jackson be available for Week 18? Things appear to be trending in the right direction.
Jackson was sidelined for three games after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He returned in Week 9. Unfortunately, an injury against the Patriots made him miss Week 17. Now that the team desperately needs him for Week 18, he got a major update to his status.
The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers will do battle in a winner-take-all contest on Sunday. Jackson is making progress, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Jackson is expected to practice on Wednesday.

“A good sign for the Ravens: QB Lamar Jackson is expected to practice today,” Rapoport reported on Wednesday.
Should he take the field, it would be Jackson’s first since suffering his back injury in Week 16. His participation would put him on track to return on Sunday.
Lamar Jackson Needs To Lean Heavily On Derrick Henry Should He Return To The Field

Without Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry had the best game of the season. Henry rolled for four touchdowns and a season-high 216 yards in the Ravens’ win over the Packers. With two-time NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson sidelined because of a back injury, Henry came up huge.
Quarterback Tyler Huntley completed 16 of 20 passes for 107 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions in that game. He was efficient and did not have to do much. Lamar should follow that same script.
With him nursing a back injury, leaning on Henry has proven to be a winning formula in football. The last thing they need is another injury as they fight to get into the playoffs.
Either the Steelers or Ravens are looking to face the Texans in the Wild Card round.
